The Warwick chair is one of our most traditional wing chair styles, featuring the eponymous 'claw & ball' feet, which are hand carved in England from solid mahogany. The original chair dates from the George I period around 1730.
The chair has a hand tied seat with feather and down cushion, whilst the back also has hand tied coil springing with hair and cotton wadding stuffing layers over the springs. Polish is hand ragged onto the legs and all outside edges are hand finished using the traditional 'slip stitch' method found on all Greengate pieces.
