Greengate's Oundle chair is based on a Victorian library chair taken from an original photograph from the period. The chair had lost the traditional buttoned back and has deliberately been reproduced in this form to enhance the comfort. The hand tied seat is stuffed with hair and the back is generously padded with over 30 coil springs set on top of a webbing lattice.
Hand turned, solid mahogany legs can have either bright or antique brass & china castors to choice. The outsides are closed using Greengate's traditional 'slip stitching' method to give a flat, authentic and pleasing finish.
