Godolphin Chair |

The ancestry of the Godolphin chair is somewhat uncertain! Initially it was thought to be French, but it was then discovered to have been produced by a local Buckinghamshire craftsman for a wealthy patron, so was English all along. The simple webbed seat and back support makes a compact and very comfortable chair which is ideal for small corners and alcoves, or alternatively where a fairly upright sitting position is required. Features the usual Greengate virtues of solid mahogany legs, hand closed outside edges and a feather and down squab seat cushion interior. |
