The Ascot range is a classically styled collection, with its English arm, brass and china castors and solid mahogany turned legs. Polish is applied by hand using the 'ragging' process, whilst the upholstery fillings are the usual Greengate traditional materials such as hog hair, pure new cotton wadding and hessian scrims.
Each piece is hand finished with the outside edges closed using slip stitching. Please note also that the brassware can be bright or antique to choice and that alternative cushion interiors are also available. Greengate also makes a fixed back version of this style, the Beaufort. The range is also available in two seat depths, the details of which are listed in the two tables below:
